So, another week has passed and man, this winter has been kicking my butt. Winter has been kicking a lot of butts actually. I know my family, friends, and coworkers have been sluggish and beaten down by this icy and dank January. My motivation and energy have been taking a huge hit on productivity.

But despite all of that, I have managed to write a little short story (about 9000+ words long) that I plan on adding to the eBook version of “Your Dreadfulness Lines With Mine”. So, at least I was productive for the week.

Oh, yeah, I should go into that. I’m going to make the honest attempt of putting eBooks on Amazon. I’m looking into the Kindle Direct Publishing and it seems pretty straight forward. But I know there are going to be growing pains. Formatting was my co-author of “The Last Job: File 3454” Zach’s greatest bane. And I’m looking forward to the trials and tribulations of formatting a story for eBooks. 😝 😜

I chose “Your Dreadfulness Lines With Mine” because it’s still fresh in my mind, it’s short compared to a lot of writing projects in my backlog, and it's so silly and obtuse it makes for a great thing to practice new skills on. Things like making a cover, formatting into an eBook, and such.

Oh, yeah, I have an idea for a cover that I am going to make myself. It's silly but if I can pull it off, it will be silly and neat. Time to put my artist brain into use after collecting dust for a long time. I used to like to draw and not sure why I stopped. Maybe one day I will show off my sketches and art. One day.

So, anyway, I will not feel too bad if I mess up a few things while developing “Dreadfulness”. This is going to be a trial run to put new skills into action and hone them. This is going to be very interesting for me. I’m used to doing the fun writing and creating part of being an author. Now to step up and actually do the technical stuff that goes into publishing. Wish me luck!

What other news do I have?

Oh and I finally have a social media account and I’ve jumped on Bluesky to start with. I may jump on another platform after getting used to Bluesky. But I’ve pretty much heard that TikTok has gone to the waste side and do not plan on being on that one. Funny enough, I kept hearing how BookTok was the place for an up and coming author to be on and now things have pooped the bed for the whole platform.

Funny what a difference a few months can make. 😁

For one thing, I was only thinking about making an ebook solo back in December and now I’m actively going for it. Wish me luck 🍀 😎

Now, I need to add Bluesky to all the appropriate places on my website, which I hope I can. Bluesky is interesting so far but so much visual business my brain struggled to process when first on there. What I use this platform for will probably be random and goofy but I hope is also useful and helpful in gaining some followers.

So, I am going to close out by . . . wait, something up on Bluesky.

Ummm . . . was going to end this post but a few minutes ago I made a silly post on Bluesky and just now 2 people just liked it. Huh. This is going to be an experience.

Anyway, a quickie blog for this week. Oh and shout outs to “Escape from Vault Disney” a podcast I frequently listen to and am currently listening to as I’ve been doing production things. Tony and friends are just too funny and fun not to come back to for laughs.

Good Luck and follow me on Bluesky [Blue Butterflies🦋!!!],

PS: If you are curious, the first account I followed on Bluesky is the Terry Pratchett Estate. Pratchett is the reason I got back into writing and I will continue to write! Thank you, Sir Terry!

PPS: My coauthor Zach has his own Bluesky too, go follow him:
