First Blog is a Nice Early Morning Rant

Hello, I am Buck Bloom and this is my first blog you are about to read. I wrote it in the early morning, ten minutes after waking up. My brain burned with the desire to type, so I did. It’s a rambly mess but it’s my mess and I hope you enjoy it!
Why am I up so early again? It’s 5:30AM on a cool autumn day. I’m usually wearing shorts when I’m up this early but pajamas are needed today. Sun still has yet to rise. My website has not even launched yet, as of writing this. But my brain is always like this. It’s on fire and needs something to do. So, here we go.
I am a morning person, whether I like it or not. As a creative person who is interested in writing, I sometimes find myself up as early as 4AM, typing away. Some of my best ideas just hit me when I open my eyes and stare into the darkness. Oh, I do try to go back to sleep, keyword is try.
Today was not a close-my-eyes-and-fall-asleep day, Aerosmith. Why is that stuck in my head right now? Anyway, sleeping-in days have been few and far between lately. Maybe it's because my day job has been stressful? Maybe its because the world at large reminds me of the meme of someone in a burning building saying “everything is fine.” Or maybe it’s because I have not written much this year?
And truth be told, I hit the nail on the head with that last question. I have written quite a bit in the last few years. I actually started writing more consistently in 2016. It was a new year's resolution, working on the first chapter of a new project in the early morning of January 5th. I told myself that I would get that project done in three years, at least the first draft. That was a fun time and I will one day publish that project, the title will remain anonymous for now.
So for eight years I have been typing and typing away on different projects. One such project has been a co-written fictional novel with my best bud and frequent alpha reader, Zachary Berue. Right now, both Zach and I are on the verge of finishing our project, titled: The Last Job: File 3454. I will go more into detail about our novel in another blog.
Zach had managed to publish his first book on amazon. Link will be provided here:
Amazon.com: Sem’se - A New Beginning eBook : Berue, Zachary: Kindle Store
One thing that Zach learned is that an author needs a website. And he did not have one when his first novel was being published. Both Zach and myself have invested a lot of time and energy into The Last Job: File 3454. So, we are building our separate websites and will have them ready before The Last Job: File 3454 is published.
So far, web building has been a learning experience of patience and constant Google searches. My site looks okay for my first attempt at a website. More than likely, when this hobby of writing truly takes off, I’m going to have a professional really put their digital feng shui touch on the site. And yes, I did have to look up feng shui because I’m a phonetic speller. Old habits die hard, John Maclane.
Soon, very soon, I will finally have a platform to share my madness and spread it all across the interwebs! [Evil maniacal laugh with fifteen explanation points]
It’s 6:15 AM now and this moment of morning madness has provided me with my first blog entry. I did not have a first entry in mind until now. Now I have something to put on my website’s draft. I’m getting tired of looking at the web builder’s AI generated default blogs.
I don’t think I’ll proofread this rant either. Maybe I will? Or maybe I’ll leave it as honest and goofy as it began. Speaking of which, I don’t have a proper introduction to this. Better do that now!
Good luck and stay say,
Buck, 10/11/24
PS: For those of you wondering, I briefly proofread this. And I tried not to laugh, keyword being tried.
